It's October and my outlook is full of joy! Why? Because "why not?"
Your outlook is your point of view or your attitude about life, and so I have decided to choose joy.
Joy can be found everywhere, from large gestures to the smallest kindness. One way to help you feel joy, especially on tough days, is to help another person.
I find the greatest joy in my work, especially when I see the face of a business owner that gets what she needs from a coaching session.
I also find joy in my garden. Watching the sunlight dance on the leaves of my favorite plants.
Joy can also be in my cup of afternoon tea.
It all comes down to your outlook and your decision on how you want to embrace the moments.
With that, let's catch up on what I've been up to this week...

I welcome September with open arms, positive energy, and all my heart.
Why? Because I can.
Yes. I choose in this moment, no matter what is going on in the world, to choose joy.
I know so much may seem daunting, and you may even be feeling exhausted. But I remind you, that you have within you enormous power and strength.
You have the ability to choose.
A new month and a new season bring new opportunities if you choose to open your heart and mind to receive them.
I choose to move forward. To remember my purpose and embrace each opportunity no matter how it comes to me, as the chance to make a difference.
Whether one person or thousands of lives are changed by my work, I choose to remember that a life well-lived is a life to be proud of.
With that, let's catch up on what I've been up to this week...

There is just something about August that feels so real. Perhaps it is the realization that the year is over halfway through. Or perhaps it is seeing the plants beginning to end their summer growth.
August is a time for change and a time to prepare to harvest everything we have been working on all year long.
Our ideas from January are no longer dreams. We can see them growing in the fields before us, and we can clearly see what "rooted" and what did not.
That realization can be disappointing if we do not see the yield we had dreamed of, but I choose to focus on the "truth" that lies in the moment.
Consider this - bread is not something we pick off a vine. There are several steps from planting the wheat, to harvesting, milling, and then making the bread.
What I want you to "realize" is that when you look at your harvest, you may not yet see the end result. There probably are a few more steps to take to get to your goals.
So, keep going!

Have you ever really thought about the word, embrace?
While we all automatically go to the heart of the meaning, "to hold someone closely in your arms", there is so much more to this wonderful word.
Another definition of embrace is:
to accept or support (a belief, theory, or change) willingly and enthusiastically.
WOW! Just wow.
I think that is why I just love this word. The idea of embracing something with enthusiasm opens a new perspective to "how" we interact with whatever "it" is.

I must admit one of the most wonderful things about what I do is that I get to be "genuinely me". Every day, I have the opportunity to coach and guide women on their entrepreneurial journey utilizing my joy of reading, creating, and connecting.
I overheard one of our team members telling a new member, "you have to schedule a call with Nancy. You will leave with at least one new book, a link to a podcast, and a quote that you will never forget."
WOW! Just wow!
